Every week I’ll be spotlighting a website I think is really great. This weeks spotlight: Awesome Cancer Survivor

A site by a three-time cancer survivor using the internet to promote education about cancer, stories about struggling, and overcoming the sickness. Alicia also shares stories of an uplifting and introspective nature with lesson that even if you weren’t cancer stricken the lessons understood are for anybody.

Like the two stories that stick in my mind about the man with only one leg and the story about her friend who tried every appetizer on the menu because she wouldn’t have a chance later and the lesson learned from that evening.

If you are diagnosed with cancer, this is a good site for support and understanding. And if you’re not, it is stll a good site to help support cancer research and a place to learn the lessons of life and living.

I’ve been a customer of Threadless.com for a long time now. Since 2005 I believe. What’s great about the site is that first and foremost it is a community. Participants vote on their favorite designs and the winners have the shirt made. With threadless’ success, they’ve expanded the outfit with fancier printing techniques and more exotic inks. They’ve also expanded to other sites such as Type tees where its all about slogan on shirts, a Select Series with shirts designed by artists, and Threadless Kids with items for the cute widdle babies.

The reason I like Threadless.com is that its such a great place to find a unique design where plenty of people comment on it and only the savvy know you got it from Threadless.com. Since Threadless is still having their $5 shirt sale I encourage you to pick up a few.
