I lie asleep but not asleep trapped in that no man’s land between reality and the dreamscape. I notice myself lying in bed; I feel the sheet pressed against my skin. I don’t move in fact I can’t move. My eyes are open or at least I think they are "who knows" I think now. I lie on my back staring at the darkness of the ceiling. A faint light emanates from some corner, perhaps the computer. The green light washes over my body illuminating the 6 inches in front of my face. Now it’s as if I am watching myself seeing the green skin of me. I am both in and out of my body, simultaneously I see through my eyes and through the stranger in the corner. (more…)
